Former friends star Courteney Cox has added a new twist to her marriage melodrama with estranged husband David Arquette. She says they have no plans  to get a divorce. Meanwhile Cox has turned to long-time friend Jennifer Aniston for solace.

Cox called Arquette a “kook” but as far as she’s concerned their 11-year marriage is far from over. Both have vowed to fight to save it.

Despite their separation Oct. 10, and Arquette’s later admission that he had an affair, the pair remains close. They have a child together.

“I don’t know what will happen, but this is not like we’re getting divorced. This is a separation and I think that takes a lot of courage,” Cox told TV Week magazine.

“Whatever is supposed to happen will be the best thing for us. Sometimes you just realise ‘Wow, we actually have grown apart,” she adds.

Cox says best pal Aniston has been an anchor for her.

“We just have fun, we laugh, we’re inseparable and it’s great. It’s funny, a lot of really close friends are kind of going through this right now or like Jennifer (who) has gone through it,” she said.

“I don’t know what’s going on in the planets or what, but things are being shaken up and I don’t know what’s going to happen, but, yeah, Jennifer has been amazing for sure.”

Cox says she was cook with Arquette openly discussing their personal issues on Howard Stern’s Sirius Satellite Radio show immediately after the split.

“(David) is a kook. It’s not shocking and Howard Stern, he loves him and I’m a fan of Howard Stern… David is an entertainer and I’m sure the people who listen to the radio are entertained by his stories.”
