Actor Logan Huffman, Directors Zeke Hawkins and Simon Hawkins and Producers Justin X. Duprie and Brian Udovich anchored the premiere of “We Gotta Get Out of This Place” at the Toronto International Film Festival.

The crime drama is about three Texas teens, who hope to escape their dead-end existence in a cotton-mill town.

But they get sucked into the seedy underbelly of organized crime when one of them steals from the wrong man. They’re forced do the brutal farmer’s dirty work to escape his retribution.

Billy Joe (Logan Huffman) makes the mistake of robbing his cotton farmer boss, Giff (Mark Pellegrino) to pay for one last blow out weekend before his two best friends leave for college.

The travel to the seaside town of Corpus Christi, Texas, but Giff catches up to them when they return. To make amends for the theft, hey are enlisted to pull off a daring heist.

Billy Joe, Sue (Mackenzie Davis) and Bobby (Jeremy Allen White) test their trust and friendship as they cross the line from carefree adolescence into the harsh reality of adulthood in this coming of age tale.
