If anyone can claim to be multi-media savvy, it’s Kravitz.
Her father is rocker Lenny Kravitz and her mother is actress Lisa Bonet, who rocketed to fame as one of the Cosby kids on the hit television series. Her parents married in 1987 and divorced in 1993, when she was five. She lived with both off-and-on growing up.
Zoë, 25, broke into films as a teenager.
She played a babysitter for Catherine Zeta-Jones‘ character in the 2007 romance, “No Reservations.”
She followed up the same year playing a teenage prostitute in the action thriller “The Brave One,” with Jodie Foster and Terrence Howard.
With her celebrity pedigree, Kravitz can walk through almost any door in Hollywood. When she wanted to meet Jennifer Lawrence, she just texted her, she tells the magazine.
“I texted Jen; I was like ‘Really?!’ She texted back,” says Kravitz.
“I know people are going to think I’m sleeping with one of the Academy or something,” Lawrence wrote.
“But when it’s people you know getting nominated for Oscars, it’s like, ‘Wow, my generation’s here now, we’re being paid attention to.’”
Karavitz’s latest picture, “Divergent,” is in post-production. The science fiction adventure film, directed by Neil Burger also stars Shailene Woodley and Theo Thomas.
“It’s a nerve wracking process,” she says of the production.
“The book has fans and people are expecting things. They have ideas on what it should look like, or who should play the characters. I wasn’t aware of the books before I read the script, but that was a good thing, because I probably would have freaked out,” she says.
