Jessica Pare skinny dips in a new Esquire photo spread, something her character might do on the hit series Mad Men.

Jessica Paré wasn’t supposed to be a major player on the hit AMC series “Mad Men.” But her character, Megan Calvet, got in deep with boss Don Draper. One thing led to another and bang… she’s married to the guy.

Paré, 33, is just as surprised as anyone about her success on the show.

The Canadian-born actress was struggling to find work after leaving home in Ontario for a WB series called “Jack & Bobby,” based on the Kennedy brothers. But show was canceled following it’s first season and she ran into immigration problems.

She couldn’t work for nine months fighting red tape to get a green card. “I was ready to move back to my parents’ place, ready to get a job at my friend’s bar back home and just pack it in,” she says.

Then, a chance to audition came up for a part as Don Draper’s secretary. It was only supposed to be a four-episode arc.

“I had nothing left to lose. I went into the audition thinking, ‘This is it. If you don’t like it, that’s fine. Nobody else has,'” she says.

She landed the job and was supposed to become one of Draper’s many conquests, before fading out of the picture. But the writers kept her on and developed her affair as a story line, leading up to her character’s marriage.

Paré hot looks added spice to the show, but she sealed the deal with her scene singing a scintillating rendition of “Zou Bisou Bisou.” It became a fan favorite and Internet meme.

A YouTube video of the scene has been viewd more than 1 million times.
