Dakota Fanning, Jesse Eisenberg Explode in Night Moves (trailer!)

Jesse Eisenberg, Dakota Fanning and Peter Sarsgaard are featured in a new trailer for the movie “Night Moves.” The film focuses on three “eco-terrorists” who are determined to take out a hydroelectric dam with improvised explosives.

The eco-saboteurs also get caught up in a love triangle with Fanning torn between two lovers.

The movie has been bouncing around for the most part of a year. It screened in the main competition section at the 70th Venice International Film Festival and the 2013 Toronto International Film Festival.

It won the grand prize at the Deauville American Festival.

It was finally picked up for distribution by Cinedigm and will hit theaters May 30, according to

Kelly Reichardt directed and co-wrote the screenplay with Jon Raymond.

The film is not without controversy. Edward R. Pressman, owner of Edward R. Pressman Film, and an heir to the Pressman Toy Co., famous for making marbles, sued to block the film because of its striking similarities to a novel, “The Monkey Wrench Gang,” by Edward Abbey.

Pressman apparently had optioned the book for his own movie and cut some kind of deal because Abbey’s book is now being credited as the source of the movie.
