Amber Heard shows off her many faces in a new photo spread for W magazine.

Amber Heard poses in one of her most erotically decadent photo spreads ever in the new issue of W magazine. It’s hard to believe she doesn’t consider herself a sex symbol.

“As a woman, I usually have two options: Sex Object or the Best Friend Who Isn’t Sexy” she tells the fashion trade.

“It’s not creatively fulfilling to just be sexy. I did nothing to look the way I look. The genetic cards that anyone is dealt are not in their control, so to take pride in my looks would be a mistake,” she adds.

Heard, 28, undeniably one of the most intriguing and alluring women in Hollywood, has settled down relatively speaking.

She’s engaged to actor Johnny Depp, who turns 51 on June 9, and talks about having babies with him. It’s a far cry from a few years ago when Heard was a Hollywood wild child.

She’d been in a on-again, off again relationship with her gay lover, photographer Tasya van Ree since 2008. She finally came out a lesbian at the GLAAD 25th Anniversary Celebration in December 2010.

Needless to say, she raised eyebrows when she hooked up with Depp while they were filming “The Rum Diary” less than a year later. Their engagement was even more surprising.

Depp had been in a 14-year relationship with French actress and singer Vanessa Paradis, had two children with her, but never sought to marry her.

Heard, however, is described in the article as “feminine but tough.”

“Whenever my old friends meet someone I’m involved with romantically, they immediately warn them, ‘She may look refined, but when she’s angry, she can go trailer park really fast,'” she says.

“I’d always rather be passionate than bland. I can’t imagine living a quiet life.”
