The whole premise of the show is that people would be quicker to find true love if they start out dating without clothes.
Of course, the show doesn’t actually show people naked. In fact, no one is really naked on the show. Instead, they run around with blurry smudges hiding their private parts.
But apparently that’s what passes for naked, even on cable television.
“A lot of people will tune in for the sensationalism of nudity, but you’d be surprised how fast you completely forget about it,” says Amy Paffrath, the show’s host told The New York Daily News. (No, she’s not naked, either).
Right… this isn’t about sensationalism (wink!). It’s actually about “being honest with people,” says says VH1 spokeswoman Susan Levison.
The premiere was held at the Gansevoort Park Avenue last night seemed to dress in keeping with the theme, even if it was a fashion fail.
Kelly Bensimon, a former “Real Housewives of New York” star, showed up dressed like a 13-year-old in Daisy Duke short-shorts, a body-hugging top and a black, long-sleeve shirt.
But she was far from the most revealing. Actress Katherine “Kat” Bailess sizzled in a little black dress that showed off some cleavage.
She played Erica Marsh on the CW show “One Tree Hill” and Kyle Hart on the VH1 series “Hit the Floor.”
Model Mariah Strongin also looked hot in an LBD.
TV personality Elizabeth Vashisht wore a “Jessica Rabbit” style mini-dress in black lace with plenty of cleavage exposed.
