Johnny Depp and Amber Heard are reportedly ready to tie the knot, according to a new media report, but so far there is no confirmation. The report is also contrary to other recent stories that their relationship is strained.

Based on the latest information, the couple will get married on the actor’s private island, Little Hall’s Pond Cay, in the Bahamas in front of a close circle of friends.

The wedding is scheduled in two weeks, over the weekend of Feb. 7, according to The New York Post, which broke the most recent story.

If true, the development is a 180-degree shift from previous reporting that cast a shadow over the relationship over their possible marriage.

Depp, 51, was reportedly pushing for the marriage, while Heard, who is 28, was pushing back, saying she wasn’t ready to settle down yet. She’s openly bi-sexual and was in a three-year relationship with a woman before she started dating the “Mortdecai” actor.

Depp, meanwhile, has always been marriage averse. He was in a 14-year relationship with French actress Vanessa Paradis and they had two children without getting married.

In interviews, he always threw cold water on the idea. But if the latest reporting is true, he’s changed his tune. He was married previously to make-up artist Lori Anne Allison in 1983 but they divorced two years later.

Depp’s children, Lily Rose and Jack, are set to attend the wedding and some guest will reportedly shack up on Depp’s 156-foot yacht “Vajoliroja.” The couple got engaged last January.
