The “X-Men: First Class” trailer was released late yesterday (Feb. 10) on the move’s Facebook page, which has 1.7 million followers. It’s a prequel to the previous three releases, and the clip is stirring rabid fans into a frenzy.

It features a young Charles Xavier (McAvoy) and future arch-enemy Magneto working together to whip a group of raw young mutants into shape in time to avert a nuclear holocaust in the Cuban Missile Crisis.

That’s right, the film is set in the 1960s!

The film revolves around Professor X’s early years with his students. The cast includes “Mad Men” star January Jones as Emma Frost, famous for her sexy diamond-skin armor.

The film also details the genesis of the rift between Magneto and Professor X, which began the eternal war between Magneto’s Brotherhood and Professor X’s crew.
