The two stars have been promoting the movie, which premieres today (Apr. 17) in New York and opens Apr. 22, and Reese has deftly handled questions about Rob.
Every time she’s been asked about the Twilight heartthrob, she’s managed to be forthright, lighthearted and diplomatic about Rob’s strengths and weaknesses during filming.
After Rob confessed that his dancing skills were less than accomplished, for example, Reese was naturally asked to comment.

“I wouldn’t say it’s his forte,” the 35-year-old actress told MTV.
“I wouldn’t say it’s his favorite thing, but it actually ended up turning out really well in the movie. We had some doubts about whether we could pull it off,” she added.
Rob was far harder on himself. “That was the one bit I was most nervous about because there are tons of extras who are really good dancers, and they’re all doing the Charleston. And Reese is a really great dancer,” he told the music network.
“Reese said she couldn’t even do the practice with me, so she did the practice with the dance teacher,” he added.
Still the dance sequence in the film, which is featured in the film’s trailers came off well.
“It looks all right,” Pattison said. “It’s weird. I don’t know how that happened.”
On other awkward questions, Reese has also been honest, but funny and protective at the same time.
When Rob confessed that he had a terrible cold during one of their love scenes, Reese laughingly confirmed it.
“Rob possibly had the most hideous horrible cold of any co-star I’ve ever had to do a love scene with ever in my entire life,” she told InTouch Weekly.
“He was literally snorting and snotting through every second of it… I’m talking green, infectious, disgusting. I’m not kidding!”
Nonetheless, she called Rob “amazing and wonderful.”
It’s clear that Rob won the Oscar winning actress’s respect and affection. Check out her MTV interview below and the latest Water for Elephants trailer.
