Daniel Radcliffe as Harry Potter squares off with Voldemort, the essence of pure evil, in the new television trailer for “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part Two,” the last movie in the long-running, billion dollar grossing series.

The David Yates-directed film is perhaps the darkest and most violent of the Harry Potter series and literally comes down to a contest between good and evil.

The one-minute clip opens with the ominous voice of Voldemort issuing a challenge to Harry Potter as scenes from the movie flash across the screen.

If anything, the clip highlights the movie’s dramatic special effects, which promise to be bigger and more explosive than any of the other movies.

In short, expect Harry Potter to go out with a bang.

For his part, Radcliffe has already moved on. He’s returned to Broadway, where he’s currently starring in How to Succeed In Business Without Really Trying.

Co-star Emma Watson has also moved on with a new movie, “The Benefits of Being a Wall Flower.”

The last of the Harry Potter movies opens July 15.
