Sarah Jessica Parker’s new movie, “I Don’t Know How She Does It” could be the antithesis of those rollicking, Manhattan sipping single girls in her hit HBO series, “Sex in the City.” Except this film could be called “No Sex in the City.”

A new trailer provides a glimpse into the film’s premise. Parker plays a harried Manhattan mother of two who also has a high-powered job as a hedge fund manager and finds her life spinning out of control.

As Kate Reddy, she has to track nine currencies in five time zones, without missing a beat at home; it’s a high-wire act from start to finish.

The thrill is wondering if she’ll take a tumble.

It happens one night at 1:37 a.m. She wakes up, realizing she still needs to bake that pie for her daughter’s school.

Caught up in the mix is her dutiful husband played by Greg Kinnear, who, not surprisingly, feels lost in the shuffle of her whacked out life.

You could call it the ultimate sequel to “Sex in the City,” since Parker doesn’t stray very far from the premise of her old show. She’s a busy girl in the city, trying to make sense of her life.

The Harvey Weinstein movie even includes Parker’s voice over narrative.

But that’s basically where the similarities end and the parallels begin with Parker’s real life. She has two kids.

The film, based on the New York Times bestseller by Allison Pearson, also stars Pierce Brosnan, Kelsey Grammer, Christina Hendricks, Olivia Munn, Seth Meyers and Jane Curtin.

It hit’s theaters in September; check it out below.
