Chis Evans’ showcase film “Captain America: The First Avenger” hits Blu-ray and DVD next month, and a new trailer not only highlights the disc’s special features, but provides a sneak peek at “The Avengers,” Marvel’s superhero blockbuster.

The trailer teases Avenger superheros Capt. America’s Steve Rogers (Evans), Natasha Romanoff, aka Black Widow, played by Scarlett Johansson; Nick Fury played by Samuel L. Jackson and Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye.

Joss Whedon is shown on the first day working on the Captain America set.

Chris also talks about the shields he used in the movie, and Hugo Weaving talks about playing the ruthless Red Skull.

The trailer also features a funny thing happened on the Way to Thor’s Hammer which stars Clark Gregg’s Agent Coulson. The disk also includes some exclusive deleted scenes and the making of “Captain America.”

The three-disc set includes the film on Blu-ray in high-definition 3D and in high definition 2D, as well as on standard definition DVD with a digital copy.

The two-disc Blu-ray/DVD combo pack includes a high definition presentation of the film, plus a standard definition presentation with a digital copy.

Both sets include more than an hour of behind-the-scenes bonus material including an original Marvel short film, an exclusive sneak peek into the ultimate Super Hero team, Marvel’s The Avengers, six featurettes that go behind-the-scenes of the filmmaking process, deleted scenes and more, according to the studio.

“The Avengers,” which also stars Chris Hemsworth and Robert Downey Jr., hits theaters in May 2012.

The combo pack is set to be released on Oct. 25. Check out the trailer below.
