Olga Fonda is from Russia, with love. Since the Siberian native landed in America at 14, she’s made a remarkable transition to a Hollywood acting career. Just ask Hugh Jackman.

She appears in his latest film, “Real Steel,” and says working with the actor was an amazing experience.

“Everybody kept saying to me how wonderful he is and what an amazing human being he is, so when I met him, I’m like, ‘Listen, I’ve heard all of these stories about you, and I’m here to prove them wrong,'” she laughingly told Harper’s Bazaar in its Aug. issue.

“I mean he is the nicest man. He is the most down-to-earth actor, and he’s very supportive to all the actors. He would sit there and be like, “Oh my God, this what you did, was amazing.”

The film is about mechanical boxing robots and Fonda plays a very cold, wealthy, powerful Russian woman who is involved in the boxing game.

She’ll also appear in the upcoming “Twilight” movie, Breaking Dawn, Part 1, one of eight new supporting cast members.

Olga says she sort of fell into acting. She originally started working as a model and appeared in a number of television commercials.

She landed a part as a Russian ballerina in the 2009 independent film “Love Hurts” and went from there to spots in television shows, such as “How I Met Your Mother” and “Entourage.”

She also played Owen Wilson’s girlfriend in a nonspeaking role in “Little Fockers.”
