Robert Pattinson looked refreshed and in a good mood heading into an interview on Jimmy Kimmel Live and spent a good deal of time with fans outside the studio.

But on his way out, an unruly fan created a moment of panic when when he tried to rush the Twilight star, according to reports.

The show is taped at the former Masonic Hall right next door to the El Capitan Theatre, right across the street from the Hollywood & Highland center.

It’s a few steps from Kodak Theatre (where the annual Oscars show is held) and Grauman’s Chinese Theatre.

An unidentified person broke away from a crowd of waiting fans and ran toward Rob as he was leaving the studio after filming his appearance.

A bodyguard stepped in and wrestled the man to the ground while shocked onlookers watched.

Pattinson appeared unscathed and may not have been fully aware of what was going on.

Before the show, Rob hugged fans, signed autographs and posed for photos.

He wore a blue suit and a black tee-shirt emblazoned with the logo of rock band Blaster the Rocket Man.

The ’90s era band was billed as “Christian horror punk” group from Indianapolis, Ind.

The band broke up in 2002, but played a reunion show 2004, and 2008. Blaster The Rocket Man and Voice Of The Mysterons released a split EP in May.

Twilight co-star Kristen Stewart is expected to tape a segment with Kimmel today (Nov. 3). Taylor Lautner is also slated to appear on the show.

Kristen was spotted arriving in Los Angeles last night.
