Ashley Greene is making a switch to the small screen with a planned three-episode appearance on the new ABC drama “Pan Am,” a series about ’60s era airline stewardesses, featuring actress Christina Ricci.
The show is a knock off of the hugely popular “Mad Men.” The fictional ’60s era advertising agency goes back to a time before political correctness, women’s rights and sexual harassment lawsuits.
But “Pan Am” is no “Mad Men.” “The difference is that “Pan Am” romanticizes the past, whereas “Mad Men,” on AMC, takes pleasure in slyly mocking antiquated mores,” according to The New York Times.

Greene is set to portray a debutante who has a past connection to Michael Mosley’s character Ted, Entertainment Weekly reports.
She certainly has the looks for the part. Greene covers Flare magazine’s upcoming issue and the photo spread is lush.
Producers are probably also hoping she pulls in some of the “Twilight” fan base.
She will debut in the Dec. 4th episode titled “Kiss Kiss Bang Bang.” Hopefully Greene can give the series a lift.
ABC has yet to order a full season of the show and the other “Mad Men” inspired show, “The Playboy Club,” has already been canceled.
Meanwhile, Greene, who plays vampire Alice Cullen in the hit “Twilight” series, has been busy promoting the latest flim, “Breaking Dawn, Part 1.”
She just wrapped up a high-profile swing through Europe with Robert Pattinson.
She was standing in for Kristen Stewart who was busy filming “Snow White and the Huntsman.”
She appeared in San Francisco Nov. 11, with Nikki Reed, Jackson Rathbone and Charlie Bewley.
Greene will also appear with Demi Moore and Miley Cyrus in the comedy “LOL,” which is expected to be released in early 2012.
