Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart are taking the world by storm in “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn, Part 1” but studio Summit Entertainment is already looking ahead to the Blu-ray and DVD market.
Breaking Dawn pulled in $20.3 million at the box office on Wednesday and Thursday and is slated to gross about $56 million by Sunday. It should hold the No. 1 spot for the second week in a row.
The film has earned an impressive $179.3 million in its first full week in release, beginning with a $139 million weekend.
While the film is still doing impressive box office business, Summit this weekend released the cover are and some of the special features that will be included on the Blu-ray and DVD discs.

“Breaking Dawn, Part 1,” of course, brings the film one step closer to its conclusion.
It features the marriage human Bella Swan with her vampire lover Edward Cullen, their honeymoon and the surprise birth of a child.
But the union and the child touch off a series of dramatic consequences for the Cullen clan and the wolfpack of Jacob Black (Taylor Lautner).
The discs will include the full movie, and at least the following special features: A six-part documentary on the making of the series. Bella and Edward’s personal wedding video, a look behind-the-scenes of Taylor becoming Jacob and audio commentary by Director Bill Condon.
The stars are also likely to provide commentary on the film.
No word yet on whether the discs will include a director’s cut of the film with racier uncut sex scenes between Bella and Edward.
Condon said he was force to tone down the penultimate scenes to maintain the film’s PG-13 theater rating.
It’s hard to predict how soon the DVD will be released. The time between screenings in theaters and DVD release is growing shorter and shorter, so it’s best to sign up to be notified. No purchase is required.
In addition to Pattinson, Stewart and Lautner, the film also stars Gil Birmingham, Billy Burke, Sarah Clarke, Ty Olsson, Ashley Greene, Jackson Rathbone, Kellan Lutz, Nikki Reed and Peter Facinelli.
The final film, “Breaking Dawn, Part 2” will hit theaters in Nov. 2012.
