Lake Bell has a rare gift of beauty and wit, not the dumb blonde kind, but a rapier wit that is almost as sexy as her stunning curves. She displays both in Esquire’s new “Me and My Place” photo shoot.

Bell, 32, is not only funny in HBO’s “How to Make It in America,” she also writes and directs and had a short feature, “Worst Enemy,” previewed at the Sundance Film Festival this year.

Not only that, she’s into cars!. She writes a regular column “Test Drive,” for The Hollywood Reporter. A guy can’t ask for more than that.

Bell strips down to underwear and a tiny “wife-beater” tee-shirt in the Esquire shoot.

“The majority of the photographs that I take are not sexy,” she claims. (Don’t believe her.)

“I’m so glad that my iPhone isn’t published. There’s just a wealth of unflattering photos on it.”

So how does she stay so trim?

“I’m vegan on home base, but when I travel to other countries, I throw it all into the garbage,” she says.

“Part of what’s so cool about visiting other countries is to experience the culture. And a huge part of every culture is the food.

“And I feel like that would be deprivation. Like if you went to Morocco and you didn’t have a f****** lamb tagine. “I’m sorry, could I have an avocado salad?”‘

Lake also appeared alongside Ashton Kutcher and Natalie Portman in comedy movie “No Strings Attached” earlier this year.
