Rob Pattinson, Kristen Stewart at BAFTAs (videos)

new_moon_1f“Twilight” stars Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart will be one of the highlight of the BAFTAs, the British equivalent of the Academy Awards. It will be their first appearance together in months.

The awards ceremony will air Sunday (Feb. 21) in Great Britain, but you can watch a live stream here at TheImproper.

The show will take place at the Royal Opera House in London and will be hosted by Jonathan Ross.

Kristen has been nominated for a Rising Star Award. The other nominees are Jesse Eisenberg, Carey Mulligan, Nicholas Hault and Tahar Rahim. Rob will present an award during the evening.

George Clooney has been nominated for a Best Actor award for his role in “Up in the Air.” He’ll face off against UK actors Colin Firth for his role in ‘A Single Man” and Andy Serkis. Jeremy Renner and Jeff Bridges are up for “The Hurt Locker” and “Crazy Heart” respectively.

Firth is also up for an Oscar, but Serkis is the odds on favorite to win for the Ian Cury biopic “Sex & Drugs & Rock ‘n’ Roll.” according to Reuters.

Mulligan, another Oscar nominee, is the leading contender for Best Actress for “An Education.” The movie is based on the memoirs of journalist Lynn Barber.

Also in the running are “Julie And Julia” star Meryl Streep, who won a best actress Golden Globe. Saoirse Ronan is also up for her role in “The Lovely Bones,” along with Gabourey Sidibe for “Precious” and French actress Audrey Tautou for “Coco Before Chanel.”

Prince William, 27, is also expected to present veteran actress Vanessa Redgrave with the Academy fellowship, the British Academy award for “outstanding and exceptional” contribution to film.

Best film nominations closely parallel Oscar nominees. Sci-fi blockbuster “Avater,” “The Hurt Locker” and “An Education” are the nominees.

Ross has promised Twitter followers he will mention a mystery word during the show. Last year it was “salad.” He said: “In my view, actors are in many ways like salad;they are nothing without great dressing.”
