Jennifer Lopez’s stunning Zuhair Murad gown may, or may not, have slipped a nipple while she presented an Oscar at the 84th Academy Awards. It comes down to the eye of the beholder.

Lopez’s dress was classically cut with a modern twist, a plunging neckline the dove nearly to her navel.

As long as she stood relatively still she seemed to remain covered when she walked the red carpet in the Art Deco style dress. But a twist here and a twist there while on stage, and she just may have well made Oscar history.

The jury, however, is out on whether she actually pulled a Janet Jackson or whether it was merely a shadow on slight distortion in lighting. Jackson, of course, caused an uproar when her breast was exposed during the halftime performance at the 2005 Super Bowl.

Ironically, Lopez, and Cameron Diaz where presenting the award for best costume design and makeup. Had it been up for consideration, Lopez’s may not have made the final cut. Then again, it was definitely an attention getter.

Diaz and Lopez where doing a back and forth when the slip allegedly occurred.

“It should be tight enough to show that you are a woman,” Diaz said about a dress.

“But loose enough to show that you are a lady.” Lopez chimed in. She probably didn’t mean it the way it sounded.

For the record, the Oscar for costume design went to Mark Bridges For “The Artist”.
