Adam Sandler is loading up on hot actresses for his new movie “That’s My Boy.” It may not save his film, but Leighton Meester, Ciara and plenty of babes light up a new “red-band” trailer for the upcoming comedy.
Sandler has worked some nice screen magic in his career, but his last two films “Just Go With It” and “Jack and Jill” fell flat. Combined they’ve been nominated for ten “Razzies,” which dishonor the worst in acting and filmmaking.
Throw in his movie, “Bucky Larson: Born to Be a Star,” which he wrote and produced, and it ups the Razzie count to 13.
In fact, he’s the most nominated actor in Razzie history. But critics have never fazed him. Even his hits have been panned.
His new movie is all about alcohol, drugs and strippers. Sandler plays Donny, a neer-do-well who must pay Uncle Sam $43,000 in back taxes or go to jail.
He discovers that his long-abandoned son (Samberg) is a wealthy hedge fund manager. They reunite, and the son discovers he’s a chip off the old block. But Meester, who plays the son’s controlling wife, wants none of it.
Sandler enlisted Nicole Kidman, Jennifer Aniston and Brooklyn Decker for “Just Go With It,” and still got nowhere. Whether Meester and Sandler’s potty jokes are enough to pull this movie along remains to be seen.
Check out the trailer below. The film hits theaters in June.
