Milla Jovovich gives new meaning to skintight suit as she tries to bust up the Umbrella Corp. In a new trailer, she’s yanked out of her idyllic suburban family life into the heart of evil as the deadly T-virus continues to ravage the Earth.

Jovovich has become a film icon as a result of the highly successful “Resident Evil” films. The fifth and latest in the series, “Resident Evil: Retribution” has been filmed in state-of-the-art 3-D.

It also stars Michelle Rodriguez, Sienna Guillory, Kevin Durand, Shawn Roberts, Colin Salmon, Johann Urb, Boris Kodjoe and Li Bingbing.

So far, the series has grossed nearly $700 million worldwide, spawned a popular video game, and raised Jovovich, who started her career as a model, to cult status.

The latest trailer contrasts her cushy life as a soccer mom, Alice, a sharp contrast with her crime fighting alter ego. It opens with a tight shot on her fabulous grey-green eyes. Then, it cuts to her waking up in bed on another bright cheery morning.

Suddenly all hell breaks loose as zombies break into her house and attack her husband. Mila shows her zombie fighting skills as she hustles her daughter out of harm’s way. But it’s all a dream. The memories are imprinted, she learns. But were they?

She’s back, dressed head-to-toe in tight black leather, in the heart of Umbrella’s most clandestine operations facility. The hunt continues for those responsible for the outbreak. It takes her from Tokyo to New York, Washington, D.C. and Moscow.

Judging from the trailer, the movie’s special effects are hotter than ever, and filled with lots of 3-D tricks.

The film is due for release on 14 September.
