Robert Downey Jr., Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson and the rest of the cast from “The Avengers” will return in September, this time, to the small screen in highly anticipated DVD and Blu-ray releases that will be supersized with features.

The official release date has been set for Sept. 25 and Marvel is predicting big sales. Reportedly a ten-disc mega-set, of all six Marvel movies is on the way as well.

The Avengers smashed box office records domestically and globally following its release in April. In just 19 days, the film grossed more than $1 billion worldwide. The suggests the disc versions will be big sellers as well.

The movie will be packaged in three versions; single-disc DVD, two-disc Blu-ray Combo and Special Edition four-disc Blu-Ray version. Each one will include bonus features, but the special edition will be packed with them as expected.

The usual special features, audio commentaries, deleted scenes, featurettes, Soundgarden’s “Live to Rise” music video and a blooper reel are expected to be included.

Some of the packages will also include beind-the-scenes video, an alternate opening, “Maria Hill Interrogation”, and the following extended scenes: “Loki & Barton Strategize,” “Steve Rogers: Man Out of Time” and “Nick Fury and World Security Council,” according to

Raw extended footage will also be included titled: “Viaduct Fight,” “Fury and Hill Discuss the World Security Council” and “Banner and Security Guard.”
