Joel Kinnaman will star in a reboot of RoboCop, the largely successful 1980s film series, and the producers have rolled out a cool promotion–a viral video touting the fictional Omnicorp.

The company, which designs futuristic weapons systems, has its own Web site that launched today.

The video, a fake commercial, touts the company’s various high-tech products, from aerial drones and combat fighting machines to the newest product “where human resources meets robotic engineering.”

In the original series, RoboCop was a one-off machine. A police officer who was severely wounded was outfitted with super-strength robotic body. The original film debuted in 1987 with two sequels in 1990 and 1993.

Gary Oldman, Samuel L. Jackson and Hugh Laurie will also co-star in the reboot, scheduled for release in 2013.

Omnicorp’s slogan is “We’ve got the future under control.” Check out the clip below.
