Daniel Craig continues the James Bond tradition of remaining cool under pressure in a new video teaser for his upcoming Bond film “Skyfall.” After tearing off the roof of a moving train car, he jumps inside, lands on his feet and casually adjusts his cufflink.

It’s the kind of attention to detail that has made the James Bond films classics.

Sony Pictures released the 36-second spot to mark the 50th anniversary of the first James Bond film, “Dr. No,” It premiered in London on Oct. 5, 1962 and starred Sean Connery as James Bond.

British journalist Ian Flemming, who created James Bond and wrote a series of novels based on the character, pictured the British secret service agent as a lover of exotic cars and beautiful women. He was a connoisseur of food and drink and always impeccably dressed in Saville Row suits.

In the latest Bond film, the 23rd in the series, Daniel Craig stars in his third performance as Agent 007. He turns up missing and presumed dead after a catastrophe in Turkey. All of the names of MI-6 agents are published on the Internet as a result. He reappears just in time to save his boss M, although secrets from her past challenge his loyalty.

Also as part of the celebration, UK singer Adele added her distinctive voice and soul inflections to the new Bond theme song, titled “Skyfall,” as well. It captures the feel of the early 1960 Bond films with a contemporary spin. It’s moody, melancholic and haunting, just like the mysterious secret agent.

“Skyfall,” which also stars Judi Dench, Ralph Fiennes, Javier Bardem and Naomie Harris will be released Nov. 9.
