Marion Cotillard, the gorgeous French actress who seduced moviegoers in “Midnight in Paris” and 2009’s sexy musical “Nine,” was stunning on the red carpet at the AFI Film Fest in Los Angeles. She appeared for the debut of her new film “Rust and Bone.”
Cotillard, 37, plays a marine biologist and trainer of killer whales who meets a neer-do-well bar bouncer played by Matthias Schoenaerts.
He ends up taking her home for the night, but is respectful when she is reluctant to have sex. It’s the beginning of an unlikely friendship that evolves into an absorbing love story after her character is attacked by a whale and loses both of her legs.
Cotillard was praised by one critic after the film screened at the Cannes Film Festival, who noted what he called “her strong, subtle performance.”
The French actress who a daring Dior dress with Dior shoes and Chopard jewels. Schoenaerts also appeared on the red carpet with her. The French-Belgian film, directed by Jacques Audiard, has already been released in Europe and debuted in the UK on Nov. 2.
