Dakota Fanning, America's Sexy Lolita, Finally Grows Up (photos)

Dakota Fanning was a surprise edition to the “Twilight vampire movie, given that she’s moving beyond teen movies since she turned 18 in February. She talks about her career and poses for some hot photos in the UK edition of InStyle magazine.

In fact, the last of the “Twilight” movies, “Breaking Dawn, Part 2” is likely to be her last as a child star.

“I was really excited to be 18. It was done. There are so many more things I can do in my professional life. And, there’s nothing you can do about it,” she says, noting that she’s felt grown up for a long time.

Ever since her breakthrough role in the 2001 film “I Am Sam,” with Sean Penn, she’s also scored successful roles in high-profile films such as “Man on Fire,” “War of the Worlds” and “Charlotte’s Web.”

She raised eyebrows in her InStyle interview with her defense of “Twilight” co-star Kristen Stewart, who blindsided boyfriend Robert Pattinson in a cheating scandal with a married director over the summer.

“Well, I just think that media frenzies like that… Everyone thinks they have the right to, you know, publicize the struggles and sadness and heartbreak and all of that. It’s like, ‘Why do you think you are the authority to judge people’s experiences?’” she opined.

As for her own personal life, she says she’s not the type who wants boyfriends. ”You know, I’m not the kind of girl or person who really wants boyfriends in my life, she told the magazine.

“I’m also the kind of person… I’m very black and white in what I feel and I don’t wanna be with someone that I don’t foresee spending a long time with,” she added.

She has three films in post-production including the racy “Very Good Girls.” She teams with Elizabeth Olsen as two New York City friends who make a pact to lose their virginity after graduating high school. But the both fall for the same guy.
