The 37-year-old actress recently split from New York Jets star Mark Sanchez and her long-running show “Desperate Housewives,” came to an end in May after eight seasons.
She’s segued into films with relative ease and has three pictures either out or in post-production this year.
“Cristiada,” directed by Dean Wright and written by Michael Love, is set against the Cristero War (1926–29) in Mexico, fought over the government’s persecution of the Catholic Church.
Eva Longoria Sizzles in Lingerie
It’s one of Mexico’s most lavishly produced films, according to National Catholic Register critic Steven D. Greydanus.
She also stars with Andre Braugher, Clayne Crawford, Daniel Cudmore, Billy Bob Thorton and Travis Fimmel in “Baytown Outlaws,” a comedy crime drama about three redneck brothers who help a woman save her son from an abusive father.
“Long Time Gone” will see her play opposite Virginia Madsen, Amanda Crew and Graham Rogers. The film is about a dysfunctional suburban family.
“I always feel flattered when they say [I’m sexy],” Eva told GQ. “But I hope people perceive me as beautiful in everything I do in relation to works of charity and philanthropy, or political activism.
“For me, those are the things that define beauty. The beauty lies mainly on personality, not on the skin.”
