Twilight star Robert Pattinson knows how much he owes to fans and he’s the kind of person who likes to give back when he can. So when Oprah Winfrey asked him to make one fan’s day extra special, he was happy to oblige.
Rob dropped by the home of superfan Maria Mele. Yes, he actually showed up on their doorstep in a surprise visit.
“[My family and I] all lost it,” Mele told People magazine about the Tuesday night visit.
Oprah’s cameras were there and the visit will be aired as part of her show when the Twilight cast visits on May 13.
“[We were] screaming like a bunch of maniacs. We were all amazed that he was in our house,” she said.
When Rob walked into the house, daughter Rosanna started crying. Son, Giuseppe said he “was frozen.”
Oprah picked the Mele clan because they resembled the Cullen clan in the Twilight movies. “They were so amazed how my son Guiseppe looked so much like Edward,” says Mele.
Mele said Rob was striking because he was so nice, funny, and “so tall!” Rob is 6’1″ tall.
“He was beautifully flawless and a great sport.”

Oprah getting behind the movie with a special edition of her show. But should Twi fans be concerned?
The last time she did a similar special show she had the cast from the movie “Nine” on the program, including Nicole Kidman, Kate Hudson and Daniel Day-Lewis, among others.
The movie bombed.
