Ashton Kutcher will make his highly anticipated debut as the late Apple Inc. founder Steve Jobs in the biopic “Jobs” at the Sundance Film Festival tomorrow (Jan. 25).

The film is Kutcher’s first big role as a lead actor since appearing in 2011’s “No Strings Attached”, a romantic comedy that also starred Natalie Portman.

The film fell short among critics, receiving a 49 percent rating at rottentomatoes, a website that tracks movie reviews. But it delivered thanks to its starpower. The film grossed $147 million worldwide against a $25 million production budge.

Kutcher and a strong cast are likely to do the same for “Jobs.” It has no rating yet, but 99 percent of those polled want to see the film, according to the site.

Joining Kutcher are Dermot Mulroney, Lukas Haas, J.K. Simmons, Matthew Modine and Josh Gad, who plays co-founder Steve Wozniak.

The 34-year-old actor plays the pioneering entrepreneur between 1971 through 2001, in an attempt to explain how Jobs went from college dropout to one of the most successful technology moguls of our time. Jobs died in 2011 at 56 after a long bout with pancreatic cancer.

He’s revered for pioneering home computers, laptops, touch-screen technology and iPhones, iPads and iTunes.

The major moments and defining characters will be the focus of the film, directed by Joshua Michael Stern, written by Matthew Whitely and produced by Mark Hulme, according to studios Open Road Films and Five Star Feature Films.

The film will debut in theaters April 19, which marks the company’s 37th anniversary. Check out the teaser trailer below and be sure to follow TheImproper on Twitter for all the latest film updates.
