Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Twilight Sequel “New Moon” were the darlings of the MTV Movie Awards in Los Angeles on Sunday (June 5), winning four awards including the coveted Best Movie prize — and Best Kiss!
Even though the Academy Awards snubbed New Moon, Rob and Kristen got top honors as the Best Female and Male Performance categories. Rob also won the Global Superstar.
They also won for Best Kiss, and teased the crowd with a live buss.
“Thanks a lot, guys. There was very stiff competition this year,” said Rob after winning kiss the award.
“So, we’re supposed to kiss each other,” said Kristen.
“But to be perfectly honest with you, it takes a lot of smoke and mirrors to look that good kissing. We’ll give it a shot.”
They fumbled and made several aborted attempts at a buss, before Rob finally grabbed her and kissed her. Kristen feigned a big ewwww and exited like she was ready to throw up.
Other MTV Movie Award winners included Anna Kendrick, for Best Breakout Star for her role in “Up In The Air,” with George Clooney.
“The Hangover” stars Zach Galifianakis and Ken Jeong won for Best Comedic Performance and Best WTF Moment, respectively.
Sandra Bullock accepted the MTV Generation Award, after weeks out of the spotlight following revelations about Jesse James’ infidelity.
Bradley Cooper, Betty White and Scarlett Johansson – who unexpectedly planted a kiss on the actress introduced the actress.
