Summit Entertainment is using the debut of “The Twilight Saga: Eclipse,” on June 30 to help get the word out about Rob’s movie with Lost’s Emilie de Ravin.
The DVD will be released June 22, just one week before the big debut. It will retail for $26.99, but you can pre-order it here, receive a special Improper discount and save 30 percent, or $8, and get the DVD for $18.99.
The disc will contain major bonus feature commentary from the cast, including Rob, who talks at length about shooting the movie and his passion for the story.
Pattinson’s dirty journaling while playing the brooding Tyler will be another feature. “On set I kept on going up to Rob and saying, ‘You’ve got to write in your journal, mate,'” producer Nick Osbourne told the Los Angeles Times.
“I remember writing all these kind of pornographic poems, whenever there was a close-up on it. Horrible, horrible things in bold capital letters,” Rob recalls.
Summit also offers up these nuggets: Rob was “terrified” during his sex scene with De Ravin.
He also offered apologies to the director of photography, “who had to look deep into my … crack for a long time,” Rob laughed.
Tyler sported his brother’s name tattooed on his chest as a memorial.
His mother thought the tattoo for the movie was real and was alarmed. “I was like, ‘Really, do you think I tattooed ‘Michael’ on my chest?” Rob had to assure her.
Sharing sentiments about paparazzi with his Twilight co-star Kristen Stewart, Rob bristled at their constant intrusion on the set while he was shooting scenes for the movie in New York City.
“They showed absolutely no respect for anything,” he asserted.
