Adam Sandler leads an ensemble cast in Grown Ups 2. The old boys are back!

Say what you will about Adam Sandler, but after raking in $272 million from his comedy film “Grown Ups,” a sequel wasn’t far behind. A new trailer for “Grown Ups 2” provides a first look at what Lenny and the kids are up to when they move back to their old home town.

The ensemble film stars David Spade, Kevin James, Chris Rock, Taylor Lautner, Patrick Schwarzenegger, Milo Ventimiglia and Jimmy Tatro. Only Rob Schneider is missing from the original cast.

The critics weren’t very grown up about the last picture. The film received only a 6 percent rating on rottentomatoes, which tracks reviews. “What might just be the summer’s worst movie,” wrote Toronto Star critic Peter Howell.

But there’s no arguing with the numbers and almost 60 percent of the people who saw the film said they liked it. So, enter Grown Ups 2.

You may recall, during the first film, Lenny and his buddies gathered at the family lake house over the Fourth of July to relive past high school glory on the basketball court. This time, Lenny is back to the small town where he and his friends grew up.

It’s the last day of school, and the guys find out they still have a few lessons to learn when they visit their old stomping grounds, according to the trailer.

Salma Hayek, Maria Bello, Erin Heatherton, Andy Samberg, Will Forte, David Henrie, Aly Michalka, Steve Buscemi, Maya Rudolph and Alexander Ludwig also make appearances in the film. With that much star power, the critics can just go to hell.
