Chloë Moretz stole the movie as a feisty foul-mouthed pre-teen ass kicker and caused an uproar when she uttered the line: “Okay you c*nts, let’s see what you can do now.”
Family advocacy groups protested the profanity and violence the film, directed by Matthew Vaughn, who co-wrote the screenplay with Jane Goldman and co-produced the film with Brad Pitt.

In the movie, Dave Lizewski, aka Kick Ass, (Aaron Johnson) is an awkward nerdy high school teenager who has two friends, Marty (Clark Duke) and Todd (Evan Peters). They all love comic books, as does his love interest Katie Deauxma (Lyndsy Fonseca).
Although she barely notices him, at first.
Chris D’Amico (Christopher Mintz-Plasse), is a withdrawn spoiled son of local mobster Frank D’Amico (Mark Strong), who becomes Dave’s nemesis.
Moretz plays Hit-Girl a true kick ass who is trained to fight by her father. Played by Nicolas Cage, who also fights crime under the moniker Bid Daddy, he’s a former cop who was framed by D’Amico.
DVD extras include interviews with Millar, who says he seriously planned to become a superhero at age 15; Romita (whose father followed Spider-Man artist Steve Ditko), inker Tom Palmer and colorist Dean White.
There are also seven sets of storyboards; costume and production design art; and trailers, including the infamous red-band one.
