Ang Lee’s “Life of Pi” finally comes to life in a new trailer that shows his trademark filmmaking skills and gorgeous cinematography. The 3D adventure stars Suraj Sharma as “Pi” Patel who is cast adrift in a lifeboat with a Bengal tiger. A number of directors and writers, including M. Night Shyamalan, were attached to the project before Lee and writer David Magee landed the Fox picture. It was filmed in 3D in Jan. 2011 in Taiwan and India....

Lost-wunderkund J. J. Abrams’ show “Fringe” has been nothing short of brilliant for almost of all its four seasons. Fox finally announced it’s renewing the epic show for a shortened-13-episode season. It was the right call. Truth be told, the current season has been its weakest yet, with a reveal of an alternate universe (always cause for concern!). Yet the acting by principals Anna Torv, Joshua Jackson and, in particular, John Noble, is just off the charts....
“Glee’s” Chris Colfer heads to the big screen in “Struck by Lightning,” but judging from a newly released trailer he doesn’t stray too far from his Gleek roots. He plays a high school student, a subject he obviously knows well. Colfer’s character, Carson Phillips, gets killed by lightning and spends the film looking back on his life and some of the things he did in high school to get into a journalism school....
