Ed Lauter, Well-Known Character Actor in 200 Films, Dies at 74

Ed Lauter, the prolific character actor who debuted in Alfred Hitchcock’s last film and went on to appear in more than 200 films and television shows, died late last night (Oct. 16), from complications caused by lung cancer.
