Phyllis Diller, who pioneered the way for female stand-up comics and has a multi-faceted career that included Las Vegas, Broadway and movies, has died, her agent confirms. She was 95. She was also a staple performer on late night shows like “The Tonight Show” with Johnny Carson. She suffered a major heart attack in 1999 and had a pacemaker installed. The Extra-Terrestrial,” will be released for the first time as a digitally remastered version on Blu-ray to mark its 30th anniversary, according to Universal Studios. Ang Lee’s “Life of Pi” finally comes to life in a new trailer that shows his trademark filmmaking skills and gorgeous cinematography. The 3D adventure stars Suraj Sharma as “Pi” Patel who is cast adrift in a lifeboat with a Bengal tiger. A number of directors and writers, including M. Night Shyamalan, were attached to the project before Lee and writer David Magee landed the Fox picture. It was filmed in 3D in Jan. 2011 in Taiwan and India....
