Noah Cyrus, the sassy little sis of Miley Cyrus, is out with a new video for her tune “Lonely,” a bluesy ballad that shows off her voice and her lithesome body.

She’s a platinum selling artist with a major record deal, but you’d never know it.

Miley has cast a long shadow over her sister, who is now 19. Hard to believe Noah released her debut single “Make Me (Cry)”, featuring vocals from Labrinth in 2016 when she was just 16-years-old.

She looks all grown up in the new video. It features choir members from The Los Angeles LGBT Center’s Music Program. The connection is obvious.

The song is about “heart-wrenching isolation and the need for human connection,” according to a news release.

Noah wrote the song and co-directed the video with Symone Ridgell.

“It’s about vulnerability, trauma and dropping your facade, but also about human connection and finding strength among others (one of the many reasons it felt particularly powerful to work with the Los Angeles LGBT Center),” Ridgell says.

“Lyrically, Noah’s music is always strikingly raw, and for this song, a video that reflects that is the only kind that could be justified to accompany it.”

“Sometimes there can be dozens of people around you but you still feel lonely. I wanted the video to show what it could really feel like,” Noah says, explaining the tune.

Noah is the fifth child of Billy Ray and Tish Cyrus and the youngest. Her siblings include Braison, Brandi, Trace and Christopher.

Noah Cyrus released her debut extended play (EP) set Good Cry in September a year ago, preceded by the single “Mad at You,” a collaboration with Gallant.

She was named one of Time’s 30 Most Influential Teens in 2017.

She’s had various parts in a number of television shows.

This past summer, Noah Cyrus released a new single “July,” which has 40-million combined global streams to date. The track is currently the cover of Spotify’s esteemed Pop Rising Playlist and has climbed to an average of 2 million streams per week on Spotify alone. Watch the music video for “July” below.

“July” is expected to be the first single of her upcoming debut album.

For most of 2019, the Los Angeles based artist has been busy writing and recording in the studio.

She plans to release more music and hit the road on tour. She opened for Katy Perry’s “Witness: The Tour” in 2017 and toured in support of “Good Cry” last year.
