Exotically beautiful UK singer Dua Lipa wants fans to know she has a secret fear. She feels “vulnerable,” despite her successful career and stunning beauty.

The 24-year-old singer – who released her second album, Future Nostalgia, last month – says she wants fans to know about her real-life frailties, saying it’s important to “show that you’re human.”

“The way I write my music, I’m always very open, and I allow myself to be vulnerable. And I feel now more than ever that it’s brought me closer to my listeners. I think it’s important to talk about your emotions and to be vulnerable and to show that you’re human,” she says.

Dua and her boyfriend Anwar Hadid have been on lockdown together in London during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Anwar, a fashion model and reality television personality, is the brother of top models Gigi Hadid and Bella Hadid.

Like everyone else, she’s passing the time watching lots of films and TV shows.

“I’ve watched so many shows – “Ozark,” “Tiger King,” “The Night Of,” “The Outsider,” “Servant;” did I say “Ozark?” And, lots of movies, too,” she told Elle magazine.

“I love to make lists, and normally it would be, like, lists of restaurants and places to go and stuff to do with friends, whereas now it’s movie lists, and series lists.”

Dua also revealed that she and Anwar recently cooked octopus. They bought it through a farm-to-table app.

“We were just buying our normal fish and stuff, and octopus came up,” she explained.

“So we said, ‘Okay, let’s try something different.’ It’s about making things fun, coming up with different recipes, trying out things that we’ve never done before.”

Despite this, Dua admitted it’s still been a tough month for the couple in some respects.

She explained: “Anwar misses his family, and soon we’ll hopefully get to go back and see them.”

After working as a model, Lupa signed with Warner Music Group in 2015 and released her self-titled debut album in 2017.

The album reached number three on the UK Albums Chart, and yielded nine singles, including “Be the One,” “IDGAF,” and “New Rules,” which was hit No. 1 on the UK charts and reached No. 6 in the United States.

In 2018, Lipa won the Brit Awards for British Female Solo Artist and British Breakthrough Act. She’s also won two Grammy Awards.

Future Nostalgia, her second studio album, was widely praised by critics for its cohesiveness and production. It’s also her first album to hit No. 1 on the UK album charts.

Lipa was born in Westminster, London to Albanian parents who had left Pristina (present day Kosovo) in 1992 during its violent civil conflict.

She was discovered at 14, after posting YouTube covers of such artists as Pink and Nelly Furtado.
