Train Classic Rock Rolls Through NYC’s Radio City Music Hall (See!)

Train, the Grammy winning 1990 blues and rock band, brought their melodic and visceral sound to Radio City Music Hall in New York City last night (Sept. 25) as part of the band’s tour in support of its new album Bulletproof Picasso. The concert featured the band’s new single “Angel In Blue Jeans” from their seventh studio album, which hit the streets last week. Front man Pat Monahan also led the band through a number of its classics. He was backed by Jimmy Stafford on lead guitar, Jerry Becker, rhythm guitar and piano, Hector Maldonado, bass and Drew Shoals on drums....

Lorde Makes History: NYC Debut at Roseland Ballroom (video, photos)

Lorde, the New Zealand pop sensation who stormed the charts last year with her hit song “Royals,” seemed a fitting opening act for the Roseland Ballroom’s final month as a concert venue. Lorde, 17, one of music’s hottest up-and-coming artists, made her New York City debut at the ballroom, making her one of the last acts in its 58-year history. Lady Gaga, a native New Yorker, will close out the venue with seven shows, starting March 28 through April 7....

Anna Christine Keeps America’s Got Talent Judges on Their Feet

Anna Christine, one of the stars of season eight of “America’s Got Talent,” continued to demonstrate poise and talent with a soulful rendition of “Wild Horses,” a Rolling Stones song from their 1971 album Sticky Fingers. The pre-teen prodigy, who turned 11 following her audition for the show in June, is competing in the semifinals of the competition at the famed Radio City Music Hall in New York City. The 24 semfinal acts will be pared down to 12 for the final round. ...

Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, Liam Payne, Harry Styles and Louis Tomlinson better known as UK boy band One Direction, have become the new Beatles. They could barely be heard over the screaming audience on “America’s Got Talent” last night (Aug. 28) as they sang their hit “Best Song Ever.” The band has been promoting their new documentary, “One Direction: This is Us,” which hits theaters Aug 30. At every stop, they’ve drawn record crowds. More than an estimated 18,000 fans overwhelmed Rockefeller Center in New York City when they appeared on the “Today” show....
