Lorde was wearing more than a gown at the Grammys last night. A secret message containing a radical feminist essay was sewn into the hem of her dress. She says it explains why she didn’t wear a white rose. So why did she refuse to perform? Lorde was protesting in other ways as well. She was fuming over a Grammy snub.
