Jennifer Lawrence was quick witted and funny on the “Colbert Report” last night (Nov. 13), but seemed a little on edge at times as she revealed her inner fear of failure after so much success in the movie business, which includes winning an Oscar. Host Stephen Colbert made much ado about Lawrence’s film resume, although he was so clueless, he had to read off her accomplishments from a sheet of paper. ...

Now, he’s put a hit on the show that’s bigger than the infamous “Lufthansa heist” that was focus of the gangster movie. Sivero, now 62, is seeking more $100 million in damages. That works out to $6,25 million per episode, ...

Jay Leno Drives Into Car Show Traffic Jam; Here’s the Five Best Shows

Jay Leno, a well-known car buff, has found a passing lane back into television with his own CNBC car show. But he’s steering into a traffic jam of car shows on cable television. Here are the five best. Can he stay on the track? NBC basically killed two birds with one stone. Jay stays in the NBC fold and away from competing networks without returning to a celebrity talk show. Which is great, except for the fact that cable television is already teeming with car shows, from public television’s “Motor Week” to “Graveyard Carz.”...

After the Hyland incident, other moms and professional dance instructors started online petitions demanding that Lifetime owner, Disney/ABC, cancel the show....

American Horror Story Recap: Freaks Are Human, Too, Dontcha’ Know

Jessica Lange was creepy cool in the premiere of “American Horror Story: Freak Show” but once you get over the titillation of seeing a lot of supposed “freaks,” the show winds down quickly into platitudes and cheap theatrics. The much hyped premiere delivered on its shock value before lapsing into moralizing. If anything saves the show, it's Lange's portrayal of Elsa....

Joan Rivers’ Passing Ends One of the Greatest Celebrity Feuds of All Time

Joan Rivers was a comedy pioneer breaking down barriers for women in show business, but her ambition, brashness and acerbic wit ignited one of the biggest celebrity feuds in Hollywood history. It only now ends with her death. The feud, of course, involved the king of late night television Johnny Carson. Like most bitter feuds, theirs started out with a strong friendship and ended in bitterness and recrimination. For Rivers, it was also career damaging and nearly career ending. ...

Adam Levine Plays Hillarious Wheel of Musical Impressions on Fallon

Adam Levine’s many talents apparently also include doing impressions of major pop stars. He played a new game “Wheel of Musical Impressions” on the Tonight show and was hilarious. Show host Jimmy Fallon played along, using what he called a “musical impressions generator.” It matched a pop star with a song, although in this case the songs were silly children's tunes like “Old McDonald.” Levine tackled Frank Sinatra, Michael Jackson and Eddie Vedder. ...

The whole clan is there: Dame Maggie Smith, Michelle Dockery, Jim Carter, Hugh Bonneville, Joanne Froggatt, Elizabeth McGovern, Rob James-Collier, Brendan Coyle, Laura Carmichael, Allen Leech, Lily James, Sophie Mcshera and Tom Cullen....

Tony Soprano’s Survival Greatly Exagerated, Says HBO Show Creator

Tony Soprano’s death hasn’t been greatly exaggerated after all. Nor is he alive. The HBO show’s creator David Chase clarified today (Aug. 27) that the Jersey mob boss still dwells in a “spiritual world.” The statement was released to TheImproper and other publications, by Chase’s rep Leslee Dart. The retort was in response to a report, citing Chase himself, that Tony had survived his restaurant sit-down with his family in the show’s final episode. But alas, Chase’s comments were “taken out of context,” the statement said. ...

How E!’s ‘The Royals’ Will Draw on Real Royal Scandals (new trailer!)

“The Royals,” the first scripted show from the king of reality television E! Entertainment, is all about a royal family based loosely, and obviously, on Britain’s monarchy, according to the show’s first new trailer. It may be fictional but does art imitate life? The trailer hints at things to come with a number of scandalous scenes that mix dark humor and sexual situations. But a close examination of the one-minute clip suggests that the show will be drawing on real scandals from all over Europe. ...
