John O’Hurley, best known as J. Peterman on the hit NBC sit-com “Seinfeld,” is returning to Broadway in the musical Chicago for the show’s 15th anniversary run.
O’Hurley first played shady lawyer Billy Flynn on stage in 2006, and will reprise the role from Nov. 1 through Nov. 11 in a limited engagement.
Among the many celebrities who have appeared in the show during its long run are Usher, Michael C. Hall, Jerry Springer, Kevin Richardson and Jeff McCarthy.
Female performers include Melora Hardin, Rita Wilson, Melanie Griffith, Taye Diggs, Chandra Wilson, Ashlee Simpson, Leigh Zimmerman, Samantha Harris, Marilu Henner, Christie Brinkley and Sofía Vergara.
O’Hurley won’t be the only actor rejoining the cast next month.
Charlotte d’Amboise will also return as Roxie Hart.
The actress boasts more than 2,500 performances as Hart on Broadway and on tour.
Singer/songwriter and former American Idol judge Kara DioGuardi is currently playing Roxie Hart on Broadway. She will leave the show on Oct. 30.
Chicago will celebrate its 15th year on the New York stage on Nov. 14.
In August, the production became the fourth longest-running show in Broadway history.
O’Hurley played a fictionalized version of the catalog-company entrepreneur John Peterman on Seinfeld from 1995 to 1998.
He also famously competed on the first season of “Dancing with the Stars” in the summer of 2005.
O’Hurley and his dance partner Charlotte Jørgensen made it to the finals, but lost to ABC soap opera star Kelly Monaco.
