Vanderbilt Manse Gets Stunning Makeover

The Vanderbilt mansion on East 72nd Street on New York’s Upper East Side was the Gilded Age home of one of the wealthiest families in the nation. Originally built by noted architect Robert B. Lynd in 1891 and restyled in 1905 by William Strom, the seven-story townhouse has been divided into three condos and is for sale for $50 million.
