Bernie Sanders Inaugural Pose Explodes as Meme on Social Media (See 12 of the Best!)

Bernie Sanders is getting more than his 15 minutes of inaugural fame on Social Media but it may not be quite what he expected.

Sanders drew the spotlight because of his outsized mittens. They were made for him by a teacher, Jen Ellis, from Essex Junction, Vt two years ago.

But his body language took the prize.

The independent Senator from Vermont posed, slouched in his chair in a dowdy Burton overcoat with his legs crossed and arms folded like a true curmudgeon.

Add in the mask and he looked totally annoyed, like he’d just happen to drop in on his way to the Post Office and couldn’t find the right moment to leave.

Internet wags immediately seized on the image and it suddenly began popping up in the most unusual places.

Sanders is a frustrated two-time presidential candidate, who lost to Hillary Clinton in 2016 and Biden in the latest election cycle.

Although there were some reports that he might land a spot in the administration as Secretary of Labor, Sanders was left behind in the Senate.

It must have been grating to be an also-ran twice in a row; his body language see to say as much.

If you can judge a person by the company he keeps, then Bernie is in good company in one meme. Some Internet wag photoshopped him next to Deadpool.
