It’s not too late America. As crazy as these times are, it’s still up to us. We still have the power.
In a few short months, we will – maybe for the last time – have the power to decide, once and for all: It comes down to the midterm elections, Tuesday, Nov. 3, 2026
Do we want a president who governs for ALL Americans? And makes us proud to be Americans and proud on the world stage? Or Donald Trump, a wannabe dictator, who can’t even spell “c-a-t.”

Taking stock of where we are three months before one of the most consequential midterm elections of our time, we’re not exactly knocking it out of the park.
The Supreme Court appears well on its way to anointing the first American King, a man who’s pretty much escaped accountability for everything under the sun, including fomenting an insurrection, pardoning everyone involved, committing crimes, being adjudicated as a rapist, cavorting for 20 years with pedophile Jeffrey Epstein and lying non-stop… about everything.
Our FBI is run by a frat bro. Our Justice Department is hellbent on prosecuting anyone and everyone who disagrees with their boss, while spearheading the most blatant cover up of a sexual predator in history.

Legions of poorly-trained “Goon Squads,” aka Ice Agents, roam our streets, disappearing people on their way to work, and murdering American citizens without consequences.
Congress is a co-equal branch of government, but you wouldn’t know it under Republican control. The House and Senate have been reduced to Trump lap dogs.
Despite its sorry state, the legislative branch has the power to curb Trump’s excesses. All 435 House members and 33 seats in the 100-member Senate are up for election. A change of parties would restore a critical balance and make our democracy start acting like one again.
Businesswise, we’ve helped create the world’s first trillionaire, Elon Musk. Surprise – it’s the same guy who recently oversaw the dismantling of foreign aid programs that fed some of the world’s poorest children.

Our tech oligarchs have gone full capitulation, cozying up to power, settling frivolous lawsuits with Trump to curry favor and swallowing media companies whole — decimating decades of journalistic independence and public trust in the process.
Meanwhile, millions of Americans are on the verge of losing their health care coverage and social security benefits. And, thanks to our aforementioned absentee Congress, Trump has started an illegal war with Iran for no other reason than to placate his fragile ego and Israeli premiere Benjamin Netanyahu.
Oil companies are raking in record profits off Trump’s Middle East misadventure while average Americans are watching prices at the pump skyrocket.
We won’t even get into cage fighting on the lawn of the White House, bitcoin grabs, billion dollar ballrooms, abandoning clean energy, declaring open season on protected lands for drilling, election-tampering, killing cancer research, and our Health Secretary calling for an end to vaccines.
Oh, and the small matter of judges handing out near life sentences for exercising the right to protest your government.
It’s like we’ve opened the Ghostbusters Containment Tank and the demons are running amok in Times Square with nothing to stop them.
As our heroes have realized, along with the Zuckerbergs and the Bezos it’s just easier -and more lucrative – to switch sides and help them than to try and stop them.
That would take courage.
That would take character.
Both are in short supply in 2026 America. Especially an America whose highest court declares our president a rapist in one breath, then proceeds to inexplicably give him even more power.

The situation has become so absurd, even the country we fought a revolution to break away from is openly wondering why we Americans seem so eager to crown a king, who raked in a mind-boggling $2 billion profit from just his first year in office.
A king who proves on a daily basis the word ‘honor’ is a four-letter word.
Given the evidence, would it have been so bad to have just paid the damn tea tax and moved on?
I mean, could it be any worse?
We’re the toddlers who shit the bed. The teenagers who were entrusted with taking care of the house, only to have their parents return to a smoldering pile of ash.
The Electoral College is an anti-democratic disaster allowing the few to rule the many and needs to go, or we’ll never dig our way out.
As long as the states that routinely wind up last in education, last in health care, and last in employment keep telling the rest of us what to do, we’re toast.
Before you flip out, find the tallest building, and start screaming “THIS GUY HATES AMERICA!!”
Consider how sad it is that we find ourselves living in a time where standing up for the rule of law, our Constitution, and accountability, compels those doing so to have to reiterate their love for their country.
For what it’s worth: I love my country. At least the country we had before the Mad King took the reigns.
I loved my country even when we saw a Supreme Court hand a war criminal an election over hanging chads. I loved my country even when a president was caught lying about having an affair with an intern.
I believe in the America that welcomes everyone with open arms. The America that believes everyone deserves to be happy.
The America that believes helping those less fortunate is better than adding another zero to your bank account. The America that believes in compassion. Ethics. Tolerance. Class. Character. And accountability.
In a few short months it will once again be up to us to decide if we choose to live under the hand of a Mad King, or if We the People have the guts – and desire – to take back what’s been stolen from us.
As opposed to those who claim to love the America that mandates you must look and think they do. Or you’re not welcome. The ones who can only be happy if everyone else is miserable. That’s not America. That’s a cult.
