These may be hard economic times, but Mariah Carey hasn’t lost her taste for bling, and husband Nick Cannon has no qualms about spending her money to please her. Would you believe a $400,000 car for Christmas?
That’s the price tag that came with a new Rolls Royce Phantom, a gift to mark their last Christmas together before Mariah gives birth to twins later this year.
Mariah, 40, was so surprised by the gift, she Tweeted a photo of it to her fans.
‘Still getting over my Christmas gift from @NickCannon. License plate:mommyMC : )” she wrote.
Carey joins an elite group of Phantom owners that include soccer star David Beckham and UK singer Cheryl Cole.
The singer gushed about her two year marriage to Cannon.
“‘He’s a great person, and we have more in common than not…I know people initially were, “What? Those two?” But I think people who know us get it,” she said recently.
Mariah and Nick confirmed last year they are expecting twins this spring and everything is on track for a healthy birth.
“Everything is A-OK, both babies are healthy, in tip-top shape,” he said recently on his radio show. “The doctors are extremely happy. We are extremely happy.”
