Actress Sean Young, swimsuit model Julie Henderson and radio personality Gina Giordan co-hosted the first annual Michael J. Fox Foundation Team Fox and The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society Gala in East Hampton. The music of Billy Joel was celebrated.
The event, presented by Ocean Productions, featured Dan “Danny V” Vechesky ’s 52nd Street Band, the world’s longest running Billy Joel tribute band.

The six piece band packed hit after chart-topping hit into a high energy, live performance that captured the sound and spirit of the Piano Man. Guest also enjoyed a menu of cocktails and fine cuisine, provided by Carlyle Off the Green.
The Michael J. Fox Foundation is dedicated to finding a cure for Parkinson’s disease through an aggressively funded research agenda. It’s goal is to develop improved therapies for those living with Parkinson’s.
The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) mission is to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families.
The host committee included Sean Dalton, Steve Guttenberg, Edith Kirk, Andrea Peponakis-Matzner, Jennifer Esposito, JB Miller, Steve Carl, Vincent Paul, Ramona Singer, Tarik Solangi and Harry Zapiti.
The East Hampton Studio has become a hub of activity in the Hamptons. Following the Saturday (Aug. 18) event, the studio hosted Jackie “The Joke Man” Martling, and special musical guest Randy Jackson of the classic rock band Zebra.
Martling has his own radio show on Sirius Satellite Radio and was formerly the chief writer for shock jock Howard Stern. Both are Hamptons fixtures.
