Ella Emhoff, the VP’s Kid, Raises Eyebrows and Armpits: See 10 Artsy, Eclectic Looks

From her un groomed armpits and bold eyebrows to her funky, eclectic outfits, Ella Emhoff has suddenly become a fashion “it girl.”

Of course, it helps when your step-mother is Kamala Harris, the vice president of the United States.

Emhoff, 21, was a face in the crowd at the inauguration of Harris and President Joe Biden, but discerning eyes soon singled her out.

Her mischievous eyebrow wave to Mike Pence’s arrival also said it all.

Before you know it, Emhoff went viral on Twitter in a Miu Miu Shetland Pied De Poule coat. She accessorized with John Lennon round sunglasses.

IMG models rushing to give her a contract.

That’s a giant leap for a budding fashionista who is still taking classes in fabric design at the Parsons School of Art in New York City.

IMG Models president Ivan Bart said Emhoff represented “authenticity,” a valued commodity in fashion.

“Ella communicates this moment in time. There’s a cheekiness and a joy she exudes,” he told The New York Times.

Ella wasn’t just waiting in the wings. She’s already very out-front with her on knitwear brand, which is an androgynous, eclectic style.

She also pushes all the right buttons on Instagram in support of such causes as trans women.

“I’ve obviously got a bigger platform now, and I’m excited to share a lot of things I really care about, and do some good,” Emhoff told The Times.

“There are a lot of people out there that need a lot of help. If I can do anything to help with that, I want to, and I think this opportunity will be really beneficial toward that.”

Ella’s moment in the spotlight came so quickly, she still hasn’t finished designing her website.

Ella, who lives in Brooklyn, is the daughter of Doug Emhoff, second gentleman to the vice president.

It’s perhaps no surprise that she popped on stage among the overcoated crowd. Beside her funky look, she’s a stark contrast to the previous first family.

Ivanka Trump looked and dressed like a department store mannequin, while Don Jr’s girlfriend Kimberly Guilfoyle, was always pulling an Evanora, wicked witch of the East, look.
