The singer, real name Robyn Rihanna Fenty, filed trademark documents which prevents anyone else from using the name for clothing, lingerie, cosmetics and swimwear, according to swaggernewyork.com, a fashion Web site.

Rihanna has been making inroads in fashion every since she was signed to rep for Armani underwear in 2011, taking over from Megan Fox.
She announced a collaboration with the British high street store, River Island last year.
The range was fun, bold and skimpy but proved to be a big hit with her millions of fans and proved there is a market for her brands.
This year the 26-year-old beauty was named as the new face of Balmain’s A/W 2014 campaign which featured the songstress dressed in a formfitting denim outfit, complete with gold hard wear.

Rihanna was even named 2014 Fashion Icon at the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) Awards in June, where she shocked critics with her daring see-through gown.
The brunette beauty has also enjoyed plenty of success in the beauty market, with four perfumes and two collaborations with MAC Cosmetics.
The trademark documents, filed by her company, Roraj Trade LLC, in June, proposed to trademark the following names: “Fenty Apparel, Fenty Beauty, Fenty Clothing, Fenty Cosmetics, Fenty Face, Fenty Intimates, Fenty Lingerie, Fenty Makeup, Fenty Nails, Fenty Swim, Fenty Swimwear, Boomflick, Fenty Corp, Robyn, Fenty88 and Rhi Rhi.”
